Trip Information

A deposit of $150 per day is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due at the dock and is payable via cash or check. Deposits may be sent to Capt. Bill at the address below. Departure time is 6:00 a.m. unless otherwise arranged in advance. Afternoon/evening trips are available, please ask. We provide all the equipment. You provide an attitude for FUN! If you should choose to keep your catch, we will fillet and bag your catch at no extra charge. We also provide a cooler for your catch while on board. Please consider tipping your crew for their hard work during your trip.

Cancellation Policy

Billy V Sportfishing will gladly refund your deposit or reschedule any trip that is canceled more than 30 days in advance of the charter date. The Captain reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any trip due to adverse weather conditions.

Q: What should I bring with me?

A: A camera to capture those memories.

A large cooler to transport your catch home. Leave this in your car.

Lunch and beverages for your party. Please, no glass bottles or hard liquor. We are a USCG Zero-tolerance vessel.

A valid NYS fishing license. Click here to go to the New York State DEC site for more information about licenses.

Be prepared for the weather. You might want to bring rain gear, a sweatshirt or jacket, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. The weather on Lake Ontario can be very unpredictable, so its best to be prepared!

Motion sickness medication. If you need it, take it at least two hours in advance of our departure time!!!

Non-marking soft soled shoes. Leave your hard-soled work boots at home.

Q: We want to fish the LOC Derby with you. How do we enter?
A: At various times of the year, there are derbies going on. We are entered in all of the LOC derbies and strongly encourage our guests to enter them as well. You never know, you might be the one to catch a $20,000 fish, but you can't win it if you're not in it! Be sure to have everyone in your party register.

A: It's simple. Contact us and let us know what date you'd like to go. Once we've decided on a date and time, just send in your deposit to hold your date.

Q: Are you available to fish tournaments (Pro-Am's, etc)?

A: Yes. If you have a team and would like to fish any of the Pro-Am's or Scotty tournaments, give us a call to discuss specifics.
